Born March 6th, in Mesa, Arizona, Lynn was boy number three for Arnold and Joyce Knudsen. He grew up a typical boy, basically good, but enjoyed stirring up trouble from time to time. Lynn was eleven years old when Arnold decided to teach his boys to sing, and he has been a consistent presence in the group ever since. His powerful vocals lend rich depth to the natural genetic blend of SIX.
Known as the man of many voices, Lynn began emulating vocal legends such as Frank Sinatra and Andy Williams as a youth. He spent hours listening to cassette tapes and studying the subtle nuances of their different vocal techniques. As an adult, he was impressed by some of the vocal impersonators performing in Las Vegas but never thought any of them really captured Frank Sinatra well enough, so he set out to give Frank his due and found his talent extended to a few other famous names as well, such as: Tom Jones, Louis Armstrong, and Wayne Newton. His spot-on impersonations are an audience favorite night after night.
When not performing, Lynn’s interests include reading and playing guitar. He also enjoys running, yard work, boating, and personal watercrafts. His favorite color is blue and he absolutely loves Mexican food.
In typical starving entertainer style, Lynn worked a variety of odd jobs prior to becoming a full time entertainer. Some of those jobs included: short order cook, waiter, landscaper, electrician apprentice, process server, office boy, and parking lot attendant.
Lynn’s favorite musical group is U2. He also enjoys bands of similar genre, as well as classical music.
His favorite memory of a performance is when they opened for Bobby Kimball, the lead vocalist for TOTO (his favorite band in junior high school).
Often seen as a voice of reason among his brothers, Lynn’s quiet and reflective nature provides a steadiness to a group consisting of vast personalities. His own personality is reflected in his favorite quote: “Be a light not a judge, a model not a critic.” –Steven R. Covey
Lynn is married and has two children. He currently resides in Branson, Missouri.
