Kevin expanded the small family to four when he joined them on November 21st in Farmington, New Mexico. As the second born son of Arnold and Joyce Knudsen, he was twelve years old when his father formed the original singing group. Kevin has always been a go-getter, and has very much been a driving force behind the group’s success. His large presence on stage, strong vocals and sound effects as unique as his hair, make Kevin an integral part of SIX.
Kevin has many different interests. Some of which include playing tennis and softball, figuring out business situations and problems, and collecting things that are different. He also enjoys Japanese food, football, the color orange, and the movie Forrest Gump.
Preceding his life in the spotlight, Kevin made ends meet with a variety of jobs including: a sales representative for label companies, a process server, a tree trimmer for the County of Orange, California, and a precious metals account representative. However, nothing could compare in his mind like a job where he could meet celebrities such as John Travolta and Kelly Preston (a favorite memory of his) and do something he loved alongside his brothers.
One of Kevin’s fondest on stage memories is of performing with the renowned Debbie Reynolds. SIX was performing the song “Shout,” and part of the routine called for them to lay down on the stage during the lyrics “a little bit softer now.” Ms. Reynolds, wearing a very expensive gown and being a very gracious sport, joined with the group in laying on the stage. When the lyrics changed to “a little bit louder now,” SIX returned to their feet, but poor Ms. Reynolds was stuck. It took a few seconds, but they finally realized her predicament and helped her back to her feet. It was a very memorable New Year’s week in Laughlin, Nevada.
Kevin’s ambitious personality is illustrated by his favorite quote by Mary Kay Ash: “There are three types of people in this world: those who make things happen, those who watch things happen and those who wonder what happened.”
Kevin is a generally happy person who says of his life: “I love my family and my friends. I enjoy social situations and gatherings. I like to put projects into motion and make things happen. I love people.”
Kevin is married and has five children. He currently resides in Branson, Missouri.
